Cat’s whiskers A FEW weeks ago my beloved pet cat Milly was taken seriously ill. After phoning around numerous vets, trying for an emergency appointment, I found myself ringing a vets at Fence Houses called SimplyCats. I’d never heard of them before but tried it as a last resort. I explained what was the problem and was told to bring my cat over. Thanks to all the wonderful staff who work there, my cat had a life-saving operation and is now making a full recovery. Their dedication and expertise was second to none and even now they keep in touch to see how Milly is progressing. I’m so glad I found this wonderful and most caring place. I’m definitely not letting my pet go anywhere else! Ashley Veitch and Family http://www.sunderlandecho.com/letters/Letters-Saturday-November-14-2009.5824965.jp

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for looking after Jake so well, I have attached a picture of him settling in at home. I think he is reminiscing about his heat pad!!

Thank you for looking after kitten (Naz) so well for me when you had him yesterday. He cried to me all the way home in the car and kept reaching out his paw to touch me. He ate well and drank plenty last night and he is back to his normal crazy, dare devil self today. He is sleeping at the moment and the op seems to not bother him at all thank you Sonia xx

Hi Claire,
Megan is picking up nicely. She is eating and drinking and had a little bit play with her toys. Thank you so much for looking after her.
Thanks again for everything, I think she likes her Aunty Claire :-)

Fully supporting WITH reference to the story about "Garfield" in the Echo (Feb 5), I am shocked to hear that the RSPCA would not help towards the cost of an operation to help this elderly cat. I used to support the RSPCA but I will not be doing so in future. I believe Simply Cats is only a small place and as such it must have been hard for them to find the funds to help this cat. I will therefore be fully supporting Simply Cats and any other such small animal charities in future. I called the RSPCA last year when I found a stray dog in need of help. They told me they could not help and suggested I ring the police, which I did and the dog was taken to my nearest police station. Mrs C Stephenson, Fatfield, Washington
