We have also purchased a dental X-ray machine to enable accurate images of your cat’s teeth to be obtained. This is absolutely essential when doing feline dentistry as in the cat there are 2 types of resorbtive lesions and only one type needs you to expose and remove the roots of the cat’s teeth. The only way you can know this is by the use of dental x-rays which are very different to normal x-rays and need specialised equipment very much like your own dentist has. However this can save the cat a lot of unnecessary dental surgery if accurate dental images are obtained at the start of any procedure.
