'Cats & Coffee' evening
On Wednesday 31st March 2010 we are holding an informal 'Cats & Coffee' evening on Feline Hyperthyroidism and a short talk by our vet nurse Claire on 'owning a Sphynx cat' for our clients and cat loving friends. The evening will consist of a Feline Hyperthyroidism talk lasting approximately 20 - 30 minutes followed by a short talk by Claire on owning a Sphynx cat, and meet and greet Claire's cat then a question and answer session and chance to talk about your own cats and share experiences, good or bad with other like-minded people over a coffee. Click here for more information on Feline Hyperthyroidism. Click here for more information on Sphynx cats "Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid glands) is a common disorder of older cats. It is caused by an increase in production of thyroid hormones from the thyroid glands, which are situated in the neck. Clinical signs associated with hyperthyroidism can be quite dramatic. However, in most cases hyperthyroidism is treatable and most cats will make a complete recovery." Please feel free to come along on the night. Places are limited so if at all possible please e-mail
