We all know our feline friends enjoy getting up to mischief and can end up in sticky situations, which can sometimes result in injury.

Having a feline first aid kit handy at home can come in useful and relieve some of the worry we feel as owners when our little mischief makers inevitably come home with minor injuries such as cuts and scrapes and even slightly larger wounds that may be prone to heavier bleeding.
Below is a list of items we would advise keeping in your feline first aid kit in case of emergency:
~ Latex gloves
~ Hibiscrub
~ Cotton wool/gauze swabs
~ Dressing scissors with blunt tips
~ Non-adhesive dressings
~ Bandaging material
~ Bandaging tape
~ Tourniquet (only to be used in case of heavy bleeding that cannot be stemmed via pressure bandage, at the instruction of a Vet)
~ Clean cloths or towels
~ Digital thermometer
~ Ice pack

A home first aid kit is solely to stabilise your cat in case of an emergency and is in
no way a substitute for professional Veterinary care.
We would always advise consulting your vet and booking an emergency consultation if needed!
